The U.S. Surgeon General has launched a new campaign called "Step It Up!"  to encourage Americans to be more active. He announced that just 22 minutes of daily walking can significantly reduce the risk for cancer and cardiovascular disease. He recommends starting by walking to school, public transportation, work and holding walking meetings.
